PuroSPIN™ Plant Genomic DNA Purification Plus Kit

The PuroSPIN™ Plant Genomic DNA Purification Plus Kit is designed to purify genomic DNA from variety of plant species and tissues types. This use of the kit greatly simplifies the purification process by incorporating a convenient and easy-to-use extraction technology based on nucleic acid binding to silica spin-columns which eliminates the use of toxic phenol-chloroform extraction or time consuming alcohol precipitation.

In comparison to our PuroSPIN™ Plant Genomic DNA Purificatio Kit, the Plus kit adds an additional filtration step that replaces high speed centrifugation to remove the insoluble and non-digested fraction from the lysate before loading it onto the silica spin column. Filtration is more efficient and simple than centrifugation, leading to an increased genomic DNA yield and higher purity of the final product. This is particularly benficial when workign with large samples that contain a large amounts of starting material.
