Protein G, Biotinylated
Biotinylated Recombit Protein G that has been covalently conjugated to biotin molecules.
Recombit Streptococcus Protein G is produced in E. coli and is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 196 amino acids. Streptococcus Protein G is proprietarily produced in E. coli and purified via chromatographic techniques. Protein G binds through a non-immune mechanism specifically to the Fc region of IgG and other immunoglobuline subclasses.
The gene we selected to use for the production of Protein G originated from Streptococcus Strain G148, and was cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli. The regions of the gene corresponding to the albumin binding domains, the cell wall and cell membrane binding domains have been genetically deleted. however the Fc binding domain is still present. Our recombit Protein G contains 196 amino acid residues with predicted molecular mass of ~ 22.5 kDa, but migrates with an apparent molecular mass of ~ 30 kDa in SDS-PAGE.
The product is animal component free (ACF) and animal origin free (AOF)
