1X Tris - EDTA (TE) Buffer, pH 8.0, 100mL / 500mL
Tris-EDTA (TE) Buffer is a widely used solution in molecular biology, particularly for handling nucleic acids. It contains a 20X concentration of Tris, which helps maintain a stable pH between 7.5 and 8.5, and EDTA, which protects DNA and RNA from degradation by binding to magnesium and other divalent metal ions. TE buffer is commonly used in applications such as gel electrophoresis and automated DNA sequencing.
